The kids were so excited about another trip into London, that while I was packing up some last minute snacks they waited for me outside. I think they look ready!
Just hanging out at the train station. Don't be fooled by how bored or tired they might look. I think we only waited five minutes for our train. They sure are good at keeping themselves entertained when they want to be.
After we popped up from our underground ride I realized that we were right next to Debehams. I needed to pick up a fascinator for Camille so this was quite convenient. The girls had a blast trying on fascinators of their own.
Kelton's request this trip was to ride a London bus. We have a toy bus at home that sings, "The London bus is riding along on a happy journey!" That is what Kelton wanted. We didn't pay for a tour bus as our travel cards covered the standard bus routes. Luckily we only waited for the bus once before figuring out the system. The kids always headed to the top floor near the back. There were fabulous windows back there to look out from.
We wanted to stop and see the Paddington bear statue at Paddington station. It was easy to find the cute little bear, but the whole trip made Kelton hungry. He pulled out his sandwich and decided it would be nice to share his sandwich with Paddington.
Sandwich break for everyone here at the station.
Next we made our way to Portobello Road. Cambrie likes looking at antiques and was hoping for find an unique souvenir there. She wasn't disappointed and found a compass with an inscription of Robert Frost's "The road not taken," on the inside.
Gelato break!
As we walked along the road to the next underground station we passed some graffiti work done by Bansky. I don't know much about his work, but he did make me look!
Regent Street looked super festive with all of the flags hanging up.
Finally, legs beat, feet pounding, exhaustion levels high, we made it to Hamleys toy store. Bruce warned me that it was huge, and even mentioned that it had five stories, but seeing it in person was incredible! First of all the store is huge and filled with toys. There are employees on every floor demonstrating toys which gives the whole place a magic feel. There were fairies flying, bubbles popping, cars wizzing, hair styling, fingernail painting, and artists coloring everywhere.

We loved the magician's act so much that we ultimately purchased the magic kit and the girls are spending hours practicing up in the attic.
The boys found Paddington and we brought home our very own bear and story book.
The kids were each able to choose a toy and they can't wait to start playing with them. It was incredible!
