As a full disclaimer, I am posting about Easter two months late. I've had a hard time keeping up with all of the daily life requirements and blogging has kind of fell to the wayside. So if I am missing some pertinent details in this post you can blame my two month old memory. We didn't have any visitors this Easter, so things were kept relatively simple. We dyed eggs and I found a monster egg dying kit this year. So the boys were able to get creative with eyeballs, wings, tails, and spines. While they didn't fit back in the egg carton very well, they were some of the most ferocious eggs we've ever seen.

We are also had an egg hunt there at the park. I couldn't believe how many eggs the boys had in their baskets. I had hoped that none of them were the ones I donated. I remembered the night before that I needed to bring 12 eggs for each kid, and I didn't have time to run to the store to get new candy. I found some candy in the basement and loaded up the eggs with that. Cambrie was helping me stuff them and snuck a couple pieces for herself. We both decided it was some of the oldest and grossest candy we had ever eaten. I figured that I was doing the other parents a favor. If the candy taste awful then the kids wouldn't want to eat it. I'm really saving the parents a huge headache.
Picnic breakfast friends.

Church for us this year starts bright and early at 8:30, so we didn't do any Easter festivities before we left. When we got home they kids were still dressed in their Easter duds, just a little more rumpled than they were before we left for church that morning. I still think they looked incredible.

They all participated in the scavenger hunt around the house. I don't even think there any major mistakes this year as they solved each clue. Perhaps they are growing wiser.

Ultimately they found their baskets in the boys' bedroom closet. I'm shocked they were able to find them at all in there, since the room was such a disaster!

We also learned that Moki loves Easter eggs! We hid some treats in eggs for him, and he would sniff them out and was able to crack the eggs open. As soon as he learned how to pop them open he was unstoppable, and we had to keep all straight eggs away from him. He discovered he liked devouring the plastic eggs as much as he liked to devouring the treats that were inside. It was fun to add him to our Easter celebrations this year.
