From Rainbow Falls we made the drive up to Akaka Falls. There is a little fruit stand on the drive up to the park so we stopped to pick up some snacks: sugar cane, pineapple, and a fresh coconut. They made great hiking snacks.
The girls loved the sugar cane, Kelton liked it some of the time. He couldn't really make up his mind.
As we were almost to the lookout, it started to rain. Not surprising considering where we were, but I am a little surprised that no one complained about it. Kelton was even celebrating the rain and did a little rain dance!
It made for some soggy family pictures, but now we just match the waterfall.
The walk didn't seem long enough. The greenery was so pretty I just wanted to enjoy it and walk through it again. The kids were simply too fast and had to the be the first to reach the end. At least they enjoyed it.
