A couple last stops

We still had time before our plane left so we hit a couple smaller photo opportunities on our way to the airport.  This cool tree was right at the entrance of our complex.  It made a great place for a Rogers' family pyramid!

These lava tubes were right off the should of the Queen K.  The kids were small enough that they found little tunnels inside of the lava tubes to crawl through that the adults couldn't quite handle.  Cambrie was looking around with her science mind trying to figure out how all of the lava worked its way through the tube.

Kelton looked like a little mountain goat in there scrambling over the rocks (if you can find him as he's almost camouflaged in this picture!).

We stopped for dinner in Kona, and found a place to eat right on Ali'i drive.  That shoreline looks completely different when it's not all decked out for an Ironman Championship race.  It brought back a lot of memories, and it was a little bittersweet knowing that we won't actually be going back again this October.  We can still dream though.

The kids walked along the wall right there at the bay and tried to time their passing so they wouldn't get splashed by the crashing waves.  I am shocked (and relieved) that they were all dry for the flight back home.

It was a late flight and we tried sleeping the whole way home, but it's hard to leave behind such a great vacation!
