Happy Halloween!

It was a pretty chill Halloween this year.  Whoever was home got to carve a pumpkin.

Whoever was home got to go trick-or-treating...oh wait, they all chose their friends this year!

Cambrie took off to Isabelle's.

McKenzie went up to Brielle's.

Kelton went out with Kai.

Daxton met up with Elle.

The only time I got to walk around in my T-rex costume was when I was dropping them off with all their buddies.  (Honestly, my costume was incredibly warm). Wish I could have seen their smiles while they were out and about, but I'm just glad they all had so much fun.

Big Island Fun

Often the best laid plans don't actually work out.  We had planned on spending the whole week on the island, sight seeing, training, acclimating, and just enjoying being there.  But a couple of days before we were supposed to leave, Cambrie hurt her knee at Jiu Jitsu badly enough that we thought she tore her ACL.  So I ended up staying in Colorado with the girls, helping with treatment, transportation, and everything else Cambrie could no longer do.  Jeremy ended up taking just the boys down to Hawaii where they planned on having a great time.  Bruce and Leesa were down there at the same time so they did nothing but party.

Fruit stands snacking.

Golf ball hunting.

Tidal pool exploring.

Boogie boarding and snorkeling.

Hiking Green Sand Beach

Turtle sighting

Manta ray snorkeling

Attending some of the Ironman festivities, like Heroes of Hawaii

The keiki run

The parade of nations.  The boys walked with Jeremy and it sounds like Kelton really got into it, waving at everyone they passed.

Fancy night at a luau

Beautiful sunsets

And a bucket list drive up to the top of Mauna Kea.  It was fraught with danger, low gasoline, and threat of storm, but he made it to the tippy top.

Cambrie still wasn't feeling good enough to join us, but McKenzie and I zipped down for two short days.   Jeremy surprised us both with leis as soon as stepped off the plane.  That was a dream for McKenzie.

Day one was all about the race, but on day two we were able to hang out down at the beach too.

Crusin in our Jeep

After the race we had a little time to relax.  We made it to church.

And my bucket list item, amazing malasadas.

It's hard to go wrong when you're on an island this gorgeous.
