Little Princess
Cambrie got a new crown and other dress-up clothes for her birthday, and she loves combining those with what we've collected over the years. It's not uncommon to see her walking around the house wearing ten different bracelets, a couple of watches, a pair of princess shoes, a couple of necklaces, her crown, and her panda bear pajamas. It melts my heart every time I see her :)

French Creek
We went camping up at French Creek this weekend. We got a group site with a bunch of friends and it was awesome! We didn't have any neighbors and there were no rangers telling us to go to bed at 10. (Shh...I went to bed early with Cambrie anyway.) Cambrie loves camping and she keeps telling me that she's ready to go again. She got to play with lots of her friends. Here's a picture of most of them. They held still long enough to say, "Cheese," then took off running in a race.
Here's my final shot for glory (okay, Jeremy beat me by one shot on this hole). I wasn't very good, but I wasn't as bad as I expected to be so that's good news.
Camille put Cambrie in one of the baskets and Cambrie thought it was a huge treat. That's all she wanted to do from then on.

Frogs were the most interesting toy that our campsite provided. The kids spent hours catching them and holding them. I'm surprised all the frogs survived with the amount of attention they received.
They went exploring in the forest, played with the Frisbees, helped Jeremy and I play badmitten, and even found some wild raspberries that were very succulent. Can you tell she's enjoying them?

French Creek has a fun recreational area that a lot of people just come up to use for the day. There are a couple of lakes you can fish in, a pool for swimming, two playgrounds, and a Frisbee golf course. Last time we were up there Jeremy had a blast on the Frisbee golf course, but I was back at camp playing mom. So I was excited when we decided to go give it a shot. Cambrie just got to tag along behind and help us find our lost Frisbees in the trees. Here's a picture of Jeremy after a particularly good throw.
We found this random tee-pee that Cambrie didn't want to leave. She thought it was the perfect play house.
Cambrie enjoyed looking for flowers and rocks along the course. She was excited about this yellow one she found and sat down for awhile just enjoying looking at it.

Two-Year-Old Pics
I love my daughter! It's so much fun getting her dressed up to go get her pictures taken. We had her two-year-old pictures taken yesterday and I can't help but smile every time I see them!

What's new this week
Cambrie's nap time used to be my catch-up-on-everything-that-involves-the-computer time. But now it's my nap time too. I feel like I'm a little behind on keeping everyone involved on what's happening in our lives. Here are a couple of pictures to show what we've been up to this week:
We went to Ocean City for play group on Wednesday. Camille got to go boogie boarding for the first time and Cambrie spent a lot of time running around chasing the big kids.
Cambrie has enjoyed playing with her fairy tutu and running around laughing her "I'm being silly" laugh.
It's been warm enough to enjoy some Popsicles!
It's also been wet enough to have fun splashing in the short but torrential rain storms!

Happy Birthday Cambrie!
This weekend Cambrie turned two! Because of youth conference I was gone most of the weekend and it kind of threw off Cambrie's birthday celebrations. In the end, she ended up celebrating all weekend with two parties and plenty of playtime. The first party was an impromptu dinner at Chuck E. Cheese with the Bostons. We ate pizza, drank soda, opened presents, and played lots of games.

It was a good ticket night for everyone and the kids went a little crazy with the tokens and tickets. After the nearly 800 tickets we won/were given by the super nice attendant, Zander left with a big lollipop and Cambrie got a small purple comb. We'll save the rest of the tickets for later.
On Friday morning Jeremy made birthday pancakes for Cambrie. He got very creative and made balloons, a cupcake, a heart, butterfly, and bumblebee. I wish I could have been there because they look like they were so much fun!
Here is a picture of Jeremy doing his fatherly duty of assembling the tricycle. To be true to the part he purposely put the directions on the other side of the room so he could figure out the assembly himself. It hasn't fallen apart yet :)
It will probably be a couple of months before Cambrie really understands how to make the trike move, but right now she loves riding on it.
I'm so glad that everyone was able to come on such short notice. It was a blast!
The next party was simply cake, presents, and a couple of friends. We held the party outside so the kids could run wild and work off all of the sugar from the cake. Cambrie's cake this year was a lot of fun. I had to leave most/all of the assembly to Jeremy since I was gone with church meetings all morning. We made a fairy tale story book to combine Cambrie's love of reading with her love of fairy tales. I know Jeremy wishes there were some things he could have done better, but I thought that he did a great job! Not to mention it was absolutely delicious!

After the rest of the girls had run off to play, Morgan attacked their plates and did a really good job cleaning up :) Thanks Morgan!
The girls helped Cambrie open her presents and play with them afterwards. The biggest hit of the night was the pack of princess shoes we gave Cambrie. There were enough for each girl to play with a pair. They spent the rest of the evening running around, riding tricycles, and chasing each other in these shoes. It was highly entertaining.I t was hard enough to get all the girls to stand there. I don't mind that most of them aren't looking at the camera or smiling. Can you see the awesome shoe collection?
We decided it was time to get Cambrie an official Phillies ball cap. Now we just need to go to a game this season!

I'm so glad that everyone was able to come on such short notice. It was a blast!

Fourth of July
Our Fourth of July weekend was excellent. We started off the celebrations with a BBQ at Houston Park with some friends. There was food, lots of kids for Cambrie to play with, and even adults for Jeremy and I to play with. We played baseball.
At first the guys had a little testosterone time and played guys only, then they softened up a bit and let some of the ladies play. I haven't played baseball in years so I was a little rusty, but it was fun all the same and I hit the ball each at bat. While Jeremy and I were on the baseball diamond, Cambrie had a great time running wild and being watched by some of the other families (thanks guys!).
She played tee-ball with Kiesel, and was a little cheerleader with Abby and Neveah.
This was our last Fourth of July celebration in Philadelphia so we decided we had to see the city fireworks at least once. We worked our way down Kelly Drive to Boathouse Row, which is basically the backyard of the Art Museum where they were lighting the fireworks.
We found the Griffitts and Milmonts down there too, so we all celebrated together. It wasn't very crowded and the girls had plenty of wiggle room to play while we were waiting for the show to start. They kicked a ball around for awhile, and jumped on Jeremy a lot. His abs were quite sore the next day.
When the show finally began we weren't disappointed. Cambrie loved seeing, and even hearing the fireworks. She was able to warm up to the idea before hand as people near us were lighting their own fireworks (on the grass...weird and slightly dumb I know), but it was great for her. We talked about all of the colors in the fireworks and how they go, "Boom!" Don't they look great?! Happy Independence Day!

Is it just me?
Is it just me or is pregnancy exhausting? I seem to always be tired. It doesn't matter what time I went to bed, what time I woke up, or if I took a nap that day. As soon as I sit down, I just want to close my eyes and fall asleep. I don't remember it being this bad with Cambrie. Of course, with Cambrie I didn't have a job, didn't have a toddler to chase, and my husband was at school all day so I could sleep in until 10:00 and still take a nap later without ignoring anyone. I'm feeling tired already and it's 7:00 AM, excuse me while I go back to bed.
