Jeremy's race provided the perfect opportunity for some grandparent and cousin time in Logan. Alan and Hannah are in the process of buying a new house in Logan, and in the meantime are living with my parents. All of my kids thought that was spectacular because they were able to play with Faye and Sam all weekend long. On the long drive out I had magical gas and made it all the way to Little America before I needed to top off. the kids were able to play at the playground and snack on ice-cream cones. They definitely don't get that every trip.
Once we arrived they wasted no time in getting started having fun. They played with Grandma and Grandpa's toys.
They played dress-ups with their American Girl dolls.
They went to splash pads. They went boating (pics to come). Made snow cones.
Hannah even dyed McKenzie's hair purple!
All-in-all they had a really great time. They were a little surprised by my appearance on crutches but they wasted no time in decorating my taped ankle so that it looked a lot more exciting.

As a huge bonus for the kids. Play time didn't end just once I came back to retrieve them. Faye was able to drive home with us and spend the weekend in Colorado!
It doesn't take much to make these kids happy. One morning they made rockets out of cardboard boxes.
Another day we had a picnic in the park after watching McKenzie at gymnastics.
We made personal pizzas.
Grandma and Grandpa flew out to pick her up. It was great having them stay with us for a couple of days. Most of the weekend was consumed by Boulder 70.3, but we did manage to squeeze in tickle time on the love sac!
Before we knew it the weekend was over and it was time for all of our family to go back home. Before they left to the airport we snagged this pic of three of the grand-daughters.
I wish we could have these folks at our house more often because it was super. Good-bye Miss Faye! Have fun on your first airplane trip and come again!
