This is my sister, Camille.
She is 20-years-old and loves dancing, music, and boys. Her ideal choice of party for New Years Eve is definitely a dance party with her friends and cute boys. This year, however, she was stuck with us. I know we don't come close to comparing, but we gave it our best shot.
We pulled out our party favor tongue blowers (not really sure what they're called) and played air hockey with a ping pong ball.
We played with sparkly clackers (McKenzie's favorite activity of the evening).
The girls all wore pretty party tiaras.
And we even had a dance party of our own after the ball dropped.
Of course, she might call it cheating that we pulled up last years video footage of Times Square so we could watch it with the girls at 8:00, but you've got to make sacrifices when you have little girls around. We considered it a practice run with apple juice instead of Martinelli's in our glasses. But it was still a party.
And Jeremy and I even practiced that New Years smoochin.'
We put the girls to bed then played lots of games until midnight rolled around and it was time for the real deal-this time with the bubbly. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...Happy New Year everyone! May 2011 be just as awesome as 2010. And even though Camille didn't get to kiss any cute boys that night, she even admitted that the party wasn't as lame as she thought married New Years Eve parties could be.
