Jeremy decided to do the Spartan race down in Colorado Springs with a couple of guys from the ward. He has another one planned with Brody and the Rogers in about a month so this is all great practice. Jeremy and Chuck started back from the competitive wave since they had Cole, Brooke and Isle with them. But it didn't take them long to start passing a lot of the guys who left before them. Jeremy said it was a great race and he was doing really well. Unfortunately on one of the obstacles towards the end he ripped his hand pretty badly. Because of that he couldn't do the last couple of obstacles and needed to run penalty laps. That's when Chuck beat him by about five minutes. But Jeremy still took 8th in the open division which was his best finish ever, so that was great.
Since we didn't have any other plans that weekend, we asked Nathan if he wanted to try too. He said yes. So while the Skinners, Brooke, Isle and Jeremy did the beast, Nathan did the sprint. Jeremy made sure to take plenty of pictures since this was something totally new for him. Luckily the courses overlapped the same route enough that Jeremy knew exactly where to go.
The guys were completely filthy after their race. All I could see was their shining white teeth.
