Christmas Eve

Having Breakfast with Santa on Christmas Eve meant that we had an entire day filled with family. That evening we made our way to the King's where we had a Bethlehem dinner.  It was a wonderful way to calm things down and feel a little more reverence as part of the season.  We watched a Nativity movie and dined on nuts, cheeses, olives, and figs with our fingers. I thought it was an incredible tradition that I want to incorporate into our family in the future.

Once we were stuffed, we cleaned up and moved on to the more energetic portion of our evening.  We opened our new jammies...

...and sang karaoke like maniacs.

Cash and Moki didn't sing, but they celebrated in their own way.  They wrestled the entire night.  When it was time to take Moki home he was completely soaked with Cash's slobber!

Our vain attempt to save him from getting even wetter.

The kids weren't quite ready for the party to end, but they knew they had to go to sleep if they wanted Santa to come!  So they quickly frosted some cookies before driving back to Nana and Papa's to climb into bed to dream of sugarplums.
