Breakfast with Santa

We arrived in Utah the night before Breakfast with Santa.  So when we woke up we were in instant party mode.  The boys love it when all of the boy cousins arrive because then they run around and wrestle like complete hooligans.

Cambrie was grateful to have another teenager her age around this year.  Futaba is the King's foreign exchange student from Japan.  Even though she is quiet, Cambrie appreciated the company.

Cambrie also painted an ornament for Grandma Pearce.

But honestly I think the member of our family who had the most energy throughout the whole morning was Moki.  He was enthralled by all of the people around.  He happily trotted up to everyone to say hello.  With sixty people in attendance he was not short on welcoming belly rubs.  His five most favorite attendees were likely the five one-year-olds.  He parked himself right underneath their high chairs and feasted like the rest of us.

Before we knew it breakfast was over and it was time to visit with Santa.  I love the wonder the boys still have on their faces when they see him.

In a serious breach of protocol Moki wandered up to Santa as soon as he sat down and he and Cambrie took the first photo of Christmas.  Moki actually spent the next hour happily getting in the way of every other family's pictures.

The littles all gathered around to hear Santa's story.

When it came time to sit on Santa's lap he needed two elves, so Stockton and Daxton helped pass out the jingle bells and candy canes to each visitor.

Last year all four of my kids asked for a dog for Christmas.  I had no idea what they were going to ask for this year.

Daxton asked for a flying ball.

Kelton asked for monkey bars and video games.

McKenzie asked for candy.

Cambrie asked for Moki, and perhaps another dog to be a friend to Moki.

This is a great tradition where we just gave the opportunity to visit with everyone and watch the kids feel a little of that Christmas magic.
