After a lot of discussion and a lot of prayer, McKenzie has decided to switch gyms. Her time at Gymnastics Unlimited has been great and she's made some wonderful friends on the team. However she wants better training and training from coaches who can push her to reach her dreams. The transition is not going to be easy and she's spent a lot of time mourning the loss of her friends. It was such a blessing then that her level 5 team decided to have a holiday sleepover, because it was going to be the last time she saw them. Two brave parent chaperones stayed with the girls at a hotel overnight and led the girls through some fun Christmas crafts and activities. They each decorated stockings, gingerbread houses, and pillowcases. They went swimming, played games, and basically had a blast.
I know she's going to miss this great group of girls, but I hope that this new opportunity opens doors for her. Thank you Lori for watching out for these girls!
