Summer's first water day

Cambrie had a play date with Claire today after preschool.  What started out as a very mild trip outside to look for rocks turned into a wild and wet day with the hose.  McKenzie took control of the hose first and knew exactly what to do with it...spray her sister.

Sometimes the hose got away from her but she managed to keep it under control.

Cambrie and Claire didn't know where to run to keep safe.

But they figured putting on sunscreen was probably a safe bet.

Pretty soon it was my turn with the hose and the girls got very wet trying to dodge and then trying to grab the water.  Once they were thoroughly soaked the requested some warming/drying time.

While they were drying they got cups of lemonade, sunglasses, and posed for some cute pictures.  Cambrie told me that she should be in a magazine.

McKenzie is Cambrie's little copy cat.

And Claire has some serious posing power.

Once they were tired of me taking the pictures they took the camera and took some of their own.

Claire's mom came too quickly, as moms always do, but they posed for one more picture before leaving.  We'll be so sad when Claire's family moves to California and we won't be able to play with them anymore.

Cambrie is looking more and more like her mommy-- it's crazy! I see so much of you, Annette, when I look at her pictures! She's beautiful!
