Trick-or-Treating

This was Cambrie's first year officially trick-or-treating, and she absolutely loved it. We first stopped by at our friends' houses to pick up candy (of course), but to also pick up some friends to go with us. For our trick-or-treating companions we had some Indians princesses, and an enchanted garden complete with gnome, ladybug, mushroom, fairy, and flower patch.
We walked to a nearby neighborhood that was the perfect size for Cambrie to enjoy. Everyone had their jack-o'-lanterns lit, houses decorated, and were waiting on the porch for trick-or-treaters. It was such a fun atmosphere.
It didn't take Cambrie long to realize that this was the greatest thing that has ever happened to her little sugar-craving body. When we were about half-way done her cauldron was getting pretty heavy, but she wanted that candy so badly that she was not about to let anyone carry it for her. By the end of the night she couldn't even hold it up so the people at the houses could put candy in it, it just hung at her side but she was perfectly happy with it there.
When we got home and unloaded her stash, she was so excited. We let her eat whatever she wanted that night before she went to bed. It's a good thing Halloween doesn't happen every day because she was on such a sugar rush. She and Jeremy went to the store that night to pick something up, and she just ran up and down every aisle. When they got home she was still going at full speed and didn't run out of energy until about noon the next day. Needless to say it was a very productive Halloween.
