Wet and wild fun

Today we decided to make the most of summer weather.  We turned the hose on underneath the trampoline and let the kids jump.  Kelton was sliding all over the place, but he thought it was a blast.

The girls did seat drops and giggled as the sprinkler passed by under them.

During one of his "too slippery" breaks, Kelton came by asking for a popsicle.

The girls thought this was a fabulous idea, so they each got one too.

They were ready for a change of pace so we pulled out the slip 'n slide.  Kelton didn't love sliding, but he didn't mid squeezing the channels so the water flowed out faster for his sisters.  The girls on the other hand loved it and kept backing up farther and farther to get the speed they wanted while they slid.  I peeked in the backyard and saw that they were backing up all the way to the back fence.

Daxton wasn't ready for the wet and wild part of the day, but he did like hanging out in the shade listening the the laughs and giggles.

Once the grass was thoroughly soaked through we went back to the backyard and pulled out the colored bubbles.  While I took care of Daxton inside for a bit, the kids blew through all of their pink and purple bubbles.

Next, we moved onto water balloons!  I found these bunches of balloons at Costco and they were amazing.  We went through 200 balloons just like that.

Of course the kids all decided they wanted to gang up on me, so I ended up pretty wet.

You can see the fluorescent remains of the balloons on our grass.  Kelton was super bummed when there were no more balloons to pop.  The best part of the day?  All my kids are exhausted and in bed by 7:30.  What a great summer day!
