Sister play time
We pulled out Cambrie's old baby gym and she was so excited to show it to McKenzie. I don't know which daughter had more fun under there.

We're headed to....
Okay, so this post is slightly premature. We don't know exactly where we are going, but we are positive it's in the Denver area. Many of you know that we were waiting to hear back from an interview in Logan. Here is that story: The interview in Logan went really well. Jeremy and I both had good feelings about it and anxiously waited to hear back from Dr. Hammond. Wednesday night I had a dream that Jeremy got the job but he was first runner-up. We were excited to get the job, but confused because we weren't really hired. This dream turned out to be exactly true. Dr. Hammond wanted to hire Jeremy. Jeremy was his first choice to sell the practice to and he knew it would be in good hands. However, a day or so before he called us to tell us the good news a girl came in to interview who already lived in Logan and has five years experience. She could start right away and that was very appealing to Dr. Hammond. So she was hired, and we were not. The silver lining is that she is not looking to buy the practice and they want to sell in a few years. This is where the first runner-up comes into play. Dr. Hammond still wants to sell to Jeremy, so ideally he'll call in a couple of years when he's finished and the practice will belong to Jeremy. By then we'll have some loans paid off, money to buy the practice, needed experience, and we'll be in Logan where we want to be. Until then we are going to work for Comfort Dental in Denver. We are excited about being closer to family and having the mountains at our disposal for skiing. As soon as we know exactly where we're settling down, I'll be sure to let you know.

Why?
When I used to hear jokes referencing little kids asking, "Why?" repeatedly, I laughed but thought they were blown out of proportion. Ha! Has anyone spent time with Cambrie lately? She could be the root of those jokes. This was our....conversation....on our walk to the park today.
C: Where are we going?
Me: Houston Park.
C: What Houston Park?
Me: The one past the library. We went there last week.
C: Houston Park?
Me: Yes, Houston Park.
Followed by these questions:
C: Where are we going?
Me: Houston Park.
C: What Houston Park?
Me: The one past the library. We went there last week.
C: Houston Park?
Me: Yes, Houston Park.
Followed by these questions:
- What are those lines on the road?
- What is that arrow for?
- Why are we going to the park?
- Why is that bag blowing?
- Why is the wind blowing?
- Why are there flags in front of their house?
- Why are there manholes on the ground?
- Who is that man?
- Why is that man getting out of his car?
- Why are the cars parked?
- Why are the people in their houses?
- Whose slide is that?
- Whose ducks are those?
- Why are we on the sidewalk?
- Whose mailbox is that?
- What hill do we have to walk up?
- Are those kids at playtime?
- What school do they go to?
- Are we going to Hailey's preschool?
- Are my friends going to be at the park?
- What is that man putting on the grass?
- Why is he putting fertilizer on the grass?
- Why is there a rock on the sidewalk?
- Why are the cars moving?
- Where are the cars going?
- Whose yellow car is that?
- What is that red thing with the windows?
- Why do they have a little barn?
- Why is there paint on the sidewalk?
- Why is there a crack in the road?
- Why is there litter on the ground?
- Whose dog is that?
- Why is that dog behind the fence?
- Why is that dog barking?
- Why is there a stop sign?
- Why are we crossing the road?
- And finally, Can I go play?
Geesh! I kid you not, these were all questions asked on our 20 minute walk this morning, and I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting some of them. As soon as I answered the previous question she would ask another one. I could barely keep up. Our conversation was more tiring than our walk!

Sunday visitors
Yesterday we were able to have Peter, James, and Phillip come over to our house for Sunday dinner. They are great boys who know how to have a good time. They wrestled, played catch with us, chased each other, and Jeremy showed them how to create and throw exploding Popsicle stick bombs. Here are a few pictures from the afternoon.
They raced down the hill on whatever they could find...
and ended up in a huge dog pile at the bottom.
And tried to climb to the very top branches in the tree in the courtyard.
Despite the wildness of these boys and all the stories we have to share about them, we are really going to miss them when we leave. I'm glad they were able to come by and have fun with us.

St. Patrick's Day
We had a visit from a very sneaky leprechaun this year. He turned our furniture around, built towers out of green blocks, turned our milk green, left a shamrock on Cambrie's cheek, and left gold coins everywhere he had caused mischief. Cambrie thought he was super sneaky playing tricks on us like that!
We also think we found a new St. Patty's Day tradition: Potato candy. Don't these little things look delicious? They are made of a cream cheese, powdered sugar and coconut mixture rolled in cinnamon. Yummy!

Smiley
McKenzie has learned how to smile! She is so cute when her faces lights up and that smile creeps across her face. Here are some shots that I took today.
