South Jordan hanging

In between all of the organized activities, here are some pics of us hanging out in South Jordan that weekend.

Looking good for church on Christmas morning.  (How come my girls are getting so tall!?)

K1 Speed

One of our family traditions these last few years has to been to drive go-karts.  The boys are super competitive, but Aly and I have just as much fire running through our veins.  We all love the thrill of speeding around that track, passing on the inside, and going home with the win.  We had really crowded sessions which made some of that difficult, but it was still fun.

The kids had their own kid-friendly race.  Futaba had never driven before so it was a completely new and slightly terrifying experience for her.  Cambrie is old enough to drive with the adults and I was pretty impressed by how she was able to hold her own out there.  She even beat me on some of those laps.

Daxton is just an inch or two shy from finally being able to race his own car.  So while the big kids raced, he and Pippa dominated the arcade games.

With so many races it was hard to really decide who were our podium champions, so we threw everyone up there for a group pic.  Smiles all around.

Christmas

Christmas morning!  We all love Christmas morning.  Church was at 9:00 this year so we had to make sure we were done celebrating before that.  I was impressed the kids woke up at just the right time.  We didn't have any 3:00am wake up calls this year!  Opening presents was a flurry of activity with everyone sharing what they had received.

One of the silliest gifts this year were slime puking balls.  They were simply fun to play with.

The boys got a couple of cozy sweaters.

The girls received a lot of teenage girl gifts: lotion, earrings, ear pods and clothes.

All of the kids got fun snowball packing toys.  Now Bruce and Leesa have heart, ducks and snowmen hanging from their tree branches.

Dantley celebrated with us too.  Daxton made sure he helped him open his gifts and helped him put together his Legos.

Some of our gifts came early, Cambrie's Lindsay Sterling tickets, McKenzie's new suitcase, Kelton's climbing club registration, and Daxton caught a glimpse of of Luigi's Mansion game.

And some of Jeremy's gifts didn't arrive on time at all, like his new racing wheel, a bowl set for work, and some mountain art for the gym, so he didn't quite have as much unwrapping to do.  I ended up with a new helment, better brakes, and a Kona flag.  They didn't give us one at athlete registration so Jeremy had one made.

Playing with their new goodies.

The traditional Christmas haul pics.

After church we went back over to the Kings to open presents from Bruce and Leesa.  The boys got some sweet new Legos.

McKenzie has a new sweatshirt and Cambrie has a leather jacket.

The kids loved playing with everyone's new toys, especially the King's new gerbils and a London Lego set.

It was a pretty chill way to end the day.  Merry Christmas!
