Time for another adventure! This time a quick stop up at dinosaur ridge. It was rainy and windy, but at least it wasn't hot! We haven't been up to the ridge in probably 15 years, so it felt like the first time for me. Sometimes I feel like a kid when I see dinosaur tracks. I mean seriously?! How cool is it to see dinosaur tracks!!??

Pickleball
The winner of this year's March Madness bracket got to choose a family activity. Jeremy absolutely killed us this year, so it was up to him. He wanted to go play pickle ball as a family. We went to check out Chicken and Pickle and were not disappointed. Who knew it was such a popular place? We ended up playing later than we had originally wanted just because it was so busy. But we had a great time.
I had a hard time getting great photos, so we turned some of them into cartoons which I think really captured the spirit of the evening anyway.

Training, always training
I am trying to be present on social media. It's really hard. But it means that every month I have a lot of pictures of me training. I'm always training. I hope it's enough for this season to be successful. In the meantime, I'm making a lot of memories!

Easter
Easter felt a little strange this year because it was split into two weeks. The first week was the Easter program at church. The kids got all dressed up in their fancy Easter outfits (wish I would have insisted on a family picture), but we have one with Jess! She wanted to come to church with us this week and it was a great week for her to come. The music during the program was very uplifting and I just loved the spirit that was there.
We dyed eggs after church. We tried a couple new techniques this year with a pearl glaze, and then even experimented with using the wax crayon on top of a color after the first dip. We ended up with some awesome eggs. I always feel so bad when it's time to break them and eat them afterwards. Works of art my friend!
Some cross-net in the afternoon. The grass was so pokey because of the lack of snow, that we had to water the area under our feet so we could actually play.
The next week was actually Easter Sunday and General Conference. It meant that we had most of the morning to take it nice and easy. We started with the scavenger hunt for the Easter baskets.
The kids eventually found them hidden in the ski carrier. I think the trickiest part of the whole morning was using the key to open it.
The kids were able to snack on their basket goodies while we watched conference.
Then we had our egg hunt in between sessions. You know, to keep us moving and awake. Jess was aghast that we made her climb trees to find her eggs.
Moki loves hunting for eggs.
It took a long time to find all the eggs this year. Jeremy did a very good job hiding them. Each kid could find one golden egg. Jess's was filled with Euros (which may not be pounds, but at least it's the right continent). Daxton's had a bar of silver. Kelton ended up with the chore-free egg and rolls and rolls of pennies. McKenzie found the egg with a free tank of gas and hard cash. So each kid really found exactly the right egg for them!
We finished off our Easter Sunday with an Easter feast, made even fancier by the high caliber of serving experience Jess shared with the boys. It was a wonderful weekend(s).
